Plan of Work: Promoting Healthy Homes and Communities
Outcome: Initial Outcome
Whitley County is about to create a community that will come together to fix a big problem in education. They see that young people often don't know important life skills they need to succeed. Whitley County 4-H is taking charge by working with local teachers to plan a Life Smarts Series. These lessons will be created to help middle and high school youth learn practical things to handle life's challenges.
This program is going to change how schools teach by bringing in fun lessons. They will cover important life skills like first aid, budgeting, car maintenance, cooking healthy food, doing laundry, personal hygiene, and getting ready for work. The goal is to give young people real-world knowledge. By teaming up with teachers and using different ways to teach, like working with community groups and local businesses, we will make sure these life skills stick with the students.
This program is going to make a big impact, especially for middle and high school youth. They will learn the skills they need for a successful life. We love that the community will be working together to help their youth succeed and face life's challenges with confidence.
