The problem--Because of moving and death of MG's, numbers were decreasing within the group and making it difficult to proceed with planned MG training and programs.

The educational program response--  31 people signed up to take the MG Class and 27 completed the classwork associated with the program.  Several have already earned volunteer hours to become Master Gardeners.  Existing Master Gardeners taught te majority of the classes, with the ANR agent and her assistant adding the rest of the classes.  Individuals representing 5 counties drove to Pikeville to participate in the class.

The participants/target audience-- targeted audence was local individuals with an interest in horticulter, gardening, and landscaping develop the skills to lead community in various training aspects of horticulture.  To develop the skills of gardening and leadership to  improve our community.

Program impact or participant response-- Every single person attending the class at some point made the statement "I learned something every single class" and "I learned so much that I did not expect to learn".  Again and again participants indicated that they were impressed with what all was covered in the class and did not realize there was so much to successfully gardening/etc.
