Young people earn volunteer service hours, and the adults and youth work together tow weeks before and during the Ky, Apple Festival each Fall to facilitate this fundraising effort.  As a result, monies are raised to assist youth with 4-H Camp Fee Discounts, Livestock Club events and State Fair participation and 4-H Teen Club Events, educational Field Trips and UK college visits. This is the 21st year of the fundraiser for the current 4-H Agent, and the previous 4-H Agent helped to facilitate the 32 years prior to that. For 53 years this fundraiser has been an integral part of the funding for local 4-H programming, and the current 4-H Council has already committed to continuing this event next in the Fall of 2024.
