Outcome: Intermediate Outcome
Through a community effort involving many different community partners who are all a part of the Mason County Health Coalition: Healthy Behaviors and Lifestyles, we were able to put together a monthly lunch and learn and getting speakers from all different areas of expertise to come in. The community partners that are involved are the hospital, the health department, the local schools, primary plus, and Angie Combs from the American Cancer Program. So far we had speakers come in and talk about mental health, eating right, breast cancer, another one was sponsored by ray of sunshine. Our typical range in number of people who attend is from 45 to 70 each lunch and learn. Our hope with these lunch and learns are to help bring the community together to want to learn about things happening in other communities and to help bring people together so they don't feel as lonely as when covid-19 started.
