Carroll County Homemakers reported 2145 hours of volunteer service equating to $49.000 of savings to our county.

Over the past 12 months, the Carroll County Extension Homemakers Association has increased membership by 57% from the previous year.  By increasing educational programs and join programming efforts in the community, the Cooperative Extension Service has become more visible and reached more people.  Because of this, more people, men and women, young and old, and from different ethnic backgrounds have joined the Homemaker organization.

Current members have become more involved in the Cooperative Extension Service.  One member became the county chair person for the Food, Nutrition and Health committee of the Homemaker organization.  With the help of other Homemakers, she organized three fund raisers for the Ovarian Cancer Research program at the University of Kentucky.
