Plan of Work: Develop Individuals for Volunteer Roles
Outcome: Initial Outcome
Whitley County 4-H has seen great progress in youth development with the introduction of 4-H teen club. This initiative has led to notable improvements in peer relationships, self-esteem, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. The teen club members have enthusiastically volunteered for various 4-H Camp programs, including day camps, overnight camps, photography, art classes, building a chicken coop to aid in the embryology projects in schools and also constructing raised garden beds with the Whitley County Master Gardeners. Currently, they are excitedly planning a service project for the upcoming fall. Teen participation in Whitley County 4-H has increased by 275% since fall 2022. Our goal is to keep these enthusiastic young volunteers engaged for many more years to come.
