Field Crops Forum to Implement an Impactful Integrated Pest Management with Experience in and outside Kentucky.

The Grain Crops Integrated Pest Management group of the UK-REC Princeton organized and conducted a conference featuring field crop Extension Specialists from Princeton and guest speakers from universities in other states to provide a diverse range of topics and enhance education of integrated pest management practices. The goal was to provide different points of view and to create a better understanding of integrated pest management among stakeholders in agriculture, including producers, crop consultants and additional Ag professionals holding various positions in the industry. This event was held at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green on Feb. 9, 2023. Invited speakers to this conference came from universities in Maryland, Arkansas, and Tennessee.

Attendees were given the opportunity to interact with specialists and ask questions during presentations. A survey was conducted at the conclusion of the conference providing positive feedback. In 2023 the audience was approximately >100 individuals. This forum will continue to be an important event for those in agriculture to provide new information from speakers of different universities.
