Teaching children independence, belonging, responsibility, and mastery are key elements of the Kentucky 4-H program. 4-H Camp is a delivery method which fosters opportunities for learning in each of these categories. The Monroe County 4-H camping program grew by 63% this year due to an increase in fundraising and efforts to secure scholarships. Partnerships were formed with the Monroe County Family Resource Center to help identify youth that would benefit from camp. 4-H camp targets youth ages 9 to 14.
