The Jackson County agriculture agent worked closely with the Jackson County Cattlemens and Extension specialists to deliver a beef series to Jackson County Producers. The series had 6 parts. The first part was from Dr. Higgins about the importance of water and being efficient while farming, the second part was done by ANR agent David Coffey on Fertilizer and soil testing, the third part was done by Dr. Henning about timely forage tips. The 4^th part was done by David Coffey on Seed Tags and Seeding. The 5^th part was also done by ANR agent David Coffey on Back to the Basis Beef Production. And the final part was a farm tours field day to look at innovative beef projects throughout the county. Throughout this series producers learned management aspects of beef production that they can take back and use on their own operations Several producers have mentioned doing projects similar to those on the farm tour day. Thoughout the series there were a total of 215 participants that learned some aspect of beef management. 15 participants attended 5 of the 6 parts of the series. This series has helped beef producers to be more aware of their efficiency, quality of products, and projects to make their operation more profitable..
