The city of Bowling Green, KY ensured that residents were provided and informed on important life planning processes. The living wills and powers of attorney clinic event was held at the Warren County Public Library downtown branch and sponsored by the Kentucky Legal Aid organization. The Kentucky State University, Cooperative Extension Service, West Regional Center assisted with the clinic held on May 4, 2023, at the Warren County Public Library downtown branch. The Kentucky State University, Cooperative Extension Service, West Regional Center provided information on form completion and points of contact to six individual families. The Living wills and powers of attorney clinic attracted many residents and families.

Materials distributed gave insight into legal habits, choices, and alternatives for the participants. Participants were able to ask questions and receive feedback from all representatives. The living wills and powers of attorney clinic gave knowledge to participants on legally maintaining life’s events. One participant mentioned the importance of securing a living will in addition to appointing a power or attorney. The Kentucky State University, Cooperative Extension Service, West Regional Center is looking forward to next year’s Living Wills and Powers of Attorney clinic!
