Communication and teamwork within organizations can be compromised due to lack of self-understanding and the ability to relate to others. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) can be utilized to help enhance clientele’s leadership and communication skills. Since 2016, five 3-4 hour workshops were conducted for 65 individuals participating in leadership programs and one for Fruit of the Loom’s Communication Team.  Participants completed assessments to determine individual’s personality type and how to apply this information to better coach employees, create harmonious teams, promote cooperation, efficiency, performance and communication at home, in their community or in the workplace.

According to post workshop evaluations 100% indicated an increase in their personal growth and knowledge of personality preferences. A follow-up evaluation showed 96% made practice changes that improved their relationships and interaction with others. Over 50% of Fruit of the Loom’s Communication Team indicated that their communication within their team had improved since the training.  One-hundred percent of the participants indicated that after the training, the strategies gained will make them a better leader and team member.
