FCS Had the distinct pleasure of being invited to set up a table at the UK staff Appreciation. Maranda Brooks, FCS agent came across Bobbi Jo Allen, Staff Senate Program Coordinator, whom informed FCS agent that she believe staff need to be aware of the great resources and programming that the Fayette County extension office offers. Maranda Brooks extended the invite to all program areas within in Fayette County Extension. NEP helped to assist with gathering collateral materials. Staff support assisted generate a qr code that at the table attendees could access who are seeking interest in extension programming and signing up for the monthly newsletter. UK staff appreciation was held Thursday May 25th from 11am-4pm. FCS initiated logistics of parking and set up of tabling, unloading tabling items, manning the table and provide collateral extension office materials, raffle ticket for opportunity to table visitors, discussed extension initiatives and introduced extension to attendees that were not familar with our office, encouraged accessing qr code to link to more information of fcs programming and facebook page, broke down table and cleaned up. With this being first table extension office represent a table at UK staff appreciation, it was quite a success with over 675 attendees stopping by at the UK Fayette County Extension Table. Over 40% of the 675 attendees represented minorities and over 50% vocalized their first time hearing about the extension office and the work, resources and programming that is offered there. Staff semate expressed great appreciation for UK Fayette County Extension Office attendance and looked forward to us returning for next years UK staff appreciation day.
