FCS agent presented Transferring Cherished Posessions Leader Lesson on February 28th, 2023. Estate planning can be a complicated process, especially when considering how to transfer personal property to peole who will want and care for it after ones death. FCS agent goal for this program were to have attendees understand what is in your estate, discuss estate planning considerations, and document ones wishes for their estate. Program resulted in an attendance of 13. 25% of those attending from the public and the other attending as representative from their homemaker group. Lesson evaluations indicated that all attendes expressed having an average to good amount of undertanding with what makes up an estate, legal considerations for non-titled property, what to include in an asset distribution plan and how to write a letter of last instructions. 80% of attendess indicated after attending the program their level of understanding of all topics increased greatly. 75% of the attendees indicated that most likely and/or will start an assest distribution plan, start writing an letter of last instructions, will contact an estate planning professional and will create or update their will. Attendees expressed grateful for this program and do desire to she the transferring cherished possession 4-part curriculum as a program offer at the extension in the future. A representative attending the class happend to be a business owner of a downsizing and moving company. This was a great additions to have and provide resources and information to the other attendees present.
