Program participants indicated 88% learned the parts of the machine, controlled the speed of the machine, directed the fabric while sewing, and learned to pivot at corners. 100% of participants learned to utilize a Zig Zag seam finish. Participants (55%) worked on a sewing project applying their new skills, pivoting, applying a seam finish and winding a bobbin. Other participants (44%) shared their new skills of seam finishes, winding bobbins and sewing machines part identification with other individuals.
