From November 9th to 11th, 2022 a team of scientist from the University of Kentucky’s Hemp working group delivered science base information to personnel, consultants, and entrepreneurs of Costa Rica. These presentations were requested by the Costa Rica government to implement a hemp program in that country. During the first two days of this event presentations were delivered in person by Drs. Presenter and topics are as shown here: Tyler Mark (“Hemp history and the American market”, and “Cost of production and hemp trade”), Raul Villanueva (“Arthropod pests of hemp grown indoor and outdoor, and Future problems on arthropod pests of hemp”), Tom Keene (“Harvesting and storage of hemp grains, and Harvesting and storage of hemp for fiber and CBD”), Nicole Gauthier (“Diseases of hemp on tropical regions”, and “Future diseases of hemp”), and Bob Pearce (“Methods to plant hemp for fiber”, and “Methods to plant hemp for CBD”). Attendees were able to interact and ask questions to presenters.
