4-H Teen Leadership

Planning Unit: Morgan County CES

Major Program: Leadership

Plan of Work: 7. Community and 4-H Leadership Development

Outcome: Initial Outcome

4-H Teen Leadership has always been valued in Morgan County during the past 15 program years.  However, this year the program year started off with leadership roles in place and filled with the best possible leaders.  The teen club members who wanted to be officers filled out an application back in May and then were to be slated into positions.  Due to time restrictions the teens who applied for positions met and discussed the roles and placed themselves into leadership roles.  The team did it in a very mature and constructive manner.  Then they were ready to move onto planning.  The team then planned out two fundraisers and community events they wanted to be a part of.  The 2022-2023 officer team for Morgan County has a goal for each member to participate in at least four 4-H activities/events this year outside of club meetings.  The average member attendance so far this year is 31 at each meeting.
