Ninety three people registered to participate in the Pounds off Pulaski County, weighing in at 20,054.6. At the end of the twelve weeks, 35 people had completed the twelve weeks program and lost a total of 601.80 pounds. All of the participants that weighed in to the end lost some weight each week. None had gained weight, and most would share that their clothing was now fitting better since they had lost inches through exercising several days of the week. Some reported exercising daily, and they were the ones that lost the most weight.
All participant were told at the beginning that those losing the most percentage of body weight would be recognized, not necessarily the persons that lost the most weight. The male losing the greatest percent of his body weight lost 24.7% and the runner up lost 21.2 percent of his body weight. The female losing the greatest percent of her body weight lost 17.4% and the second runner up lost 16.9 % of her body weight.
