Outcome: Long-Term Outcome
The 4-H Homeschool Club worked year long to plan and develop a pollinator garden at the Extension Office. They researched the best flowers, the size, the location, how to manage it, and anything else that was needed. They prepped the ground and planted seeds in seed starters. They then passed the project on to the county's Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences Ambassador, who is also a state Pollinator Ambassador. She taught a group of 9 youth how to plant flowers, how pollination works, and they planted everything in the garden. A group from the homeschool club attended this project day as well as youth from the community. The garden has been thriving and the Cloverbuds got to learn about pollinators and actually see a garden, flowers, and pollinators during their day camp. They got to learn from doing activities inside, to actually seeing the process happening out in the garden.
