The opening workshop of the 3-year, grant-funded Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program was held at the Kentucky State University research farm on May 13, 2022. Forty five people attended, and thirteen were military veterans - a target audience. Over half completed pre/post surveys. Results indicated significant increases in knowledge related to financial accounting, helpful resources, area of agricultural interest, and especially knowledge of legal considerations in agriculture.
