Fayette County Extension Expo

Planning Unit: Woodford County CES

Major Program: Farm Management, Economics and Policy

Plan of Work: Green and Sustainable Living

Outcome: Long-Term Outcome

The office held the Fayette County Extension Expo and open house. This event allowed the ANR program to showcase what it does and talk with members of the community who may not be directly involved in agriculture.  There were agriculture displays set up, including shrimp from a local farm, as well as local farmers available to chat about farming in Fayette County.  I met numerous potential clients and folks that didn't realize we offered services to farmers and agricultural producers.  Since this program took place, folks that I came in contact with have reached out for assistance with their woodlands, streams, and general farm maintenance/improvement questions.  I feel it was incredibly impactful and helped educate the general public about Agriculture Extension in Fayette County.
