With a prolonged worldwide pandemic many facets of day-to-day operations have been changed.   Since the winter of 2021, the Mason County Extension Service has been able to hold more in-person programming to meet the needs of local clientele.    The agriculture program has offered or worked with local groups to offer over twenty education programs that were held in-person.   Some of the topics were Tobacco GAP, BQCA, private pesticide certification, pasture weeds, soil fertility, field day, grazing practices, estate planning, and several others.   In addition to the in-person offerings, local producers were able to participate in many web-based offerings as well.   However, the in-person programs provide social interaction during points of each session to allow conversations that are important in many ways.   Producers discuss obstacles, alternatives with crazy supply chains, economical ways of production, and are able to catch up with neighbors.   Many in-person programs have had significant beneficial discussions following the primary focus of the educational program.   These interactions can not be measures of the importance, but they are a significant part to any rural agriculture community.
