Beginning Computer Class

 A three-week series on learning the basics of computers, beginning September 16,23,  and  30th from 6-7:30  taught by the Kenton County Kentucky State Area Agent for Family Consumer Sciences. Collaboration with the Kentucky State 4-H Tech Changemakers grant along with High School  Senior Tech Changemakers, Maggie assisted with instruction. Topics covered included email, utilizing Open Office to practice word processing (letters, cards  Lists, etc.) basic Windows operations, with Maggie teaching the importance of strong passwords, feelings about technology, and assisted with email basics.

Verbal feedback was positive with lots of interaction. The participants  interacted with the 4-H Tech Changemaker, asking lots of questions on current shopping apps, shortcuts, and lingo.  There was a survey done after each of the 4-H Tech Changemakers session. The participants responses Of what they knew before, and positive of what they learned in class with indication of improving their skills and suggestions for future classes.
