Outreach and Teaching Entomology to K-12 Programs in Western Kentucky

In February 2022, the entomology program of the UK-Princeton Research and Education Center trained an academic debate team (number of 8 students) of the Trigg County High School (TCHS) during half a day program to discuss Topics Related to Insect Problems in the Future. This academic team advanced to the final round of the KY state competition. The TCHS sent a thank you note acknowledging the support from Raul Villanueva’ program. Also, in April 2022, at least 150 students at the Webster County High School received information about professional agriculture opportunities, students and teachers were interested in the information they received through several Q& A sections.
