Planning Unit: Campbell County CES

Major Program: Agriculture

Plan of Work: 4-H Youth Development - Youth Agriculture Education

Outcome: Long-Term Outcome

4-H youth development programming teaches valuable life skills such as communication, problem solving, decision making and understanding one's self.  Experiential learning activities such as horse and livestock judging allow for the opportunity for the development of these skills.  Campbell County youth participated at the KY Beef Expo, UK AG Field Day and the State 4-H Horse Judging Contest this year.  Members met with their leaders to practice judging and oral reasons to prepare for these contests.  As a result, members won various individual and team awards and one youth will represent Kentucky in upcoming regional and national contests.
