This will allow him to background his feeder calves and longer when the market is low. It will also allow to buy other feed calves and try to add value to them while feeding them over a four to six month period. This ANR agent has made several farm visits to this operation bringing in University of Kentucky specialists when necessary. Producer is being educated on land and water conservation, manure storage, bulk feed storage, disease management as well a handling facility development.
