Outcome: Initial Outcome
The Adair County Homemakers Association consists of nearly 150 active and diverse members. Following a somewhat return to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic, homemakers were excited to restart activities. Adair County Homemaker pride themselves in being involved in the community. The Happy Homemaker Club assisted in packaging fruit snack samples for the local Adair County Headstart. Samples included dehydrated strawberries, pineapples, and plums. These fruit samples were a part of The Very Hungry Caterpillar LEAP curriculum and added in helping students to consume more fruits regularly.
The Adair County Homemakers collected 300 snack cakes to be donated to the Adair County High School Class Night. In addition, Adair County Homemakers gave away $1000 dollars in scholarship to two deserving students who are perusing a career in education.
Lastly, Adair County Homemakers were recognized at the State Annual Homemakers Meeting in Owensboro for donating at least $1 of each membership to Ovarian Cancer Research.
