Hopkins County 4-H and the Supplemental Nutritional Assistant, Melissa Webb, partnered with Hanson Elementary School's Family Resource and Youth Service Center with a "Let's Cook Together" program. The program was a virtual program that were prerecorded for the families that signed up to watch at their convenience. Each month a new recipe was selected to cook "with" the families. We went step by step to show how to create the finished product and gave pointers on making the recipe as fast as they could because life for many families are fast paced. There were 13 families that participated in the lessons. One comment was, "my daughter loved the recipes and was so excited each time we received a new one." We hope to have this as a reoccurring program.
