JC FCS presented programs on table etiquette and the positive impact of eating meals with families, making better food choices, as well as the impact of important soft skills it adds to future employability. All 320 students at Highland Elementary received the training, and 50 received incentives for following up and setting a table and eating together at home. There were no students in the school who indicated prior knowledge of where the correct placement for flatware should be in relation to the plate, the names of the plates, the order in which one is to use the flatware or the names of glassware and their purpose. 100% of the participants practiced these skills until they were done correctly, with 85 % committing to try to use these skills more at home. 1,466 people reacted to the post on the FCS facebook page.
