Outcome: Initial Outcome

Advanced technology has helped with keeping kitchen appliances trendy. Air fryers being one of many of those appliances that have many people questioning if that product would be useful to them to make cooking more efficient and less time consuming. To increase consumer awareness of the versatility of an air fryer, the Montgomery County Family and Consumer Sciences agent hosted a "Trendy Kitchen Appliances" 3-series workshop. The purpose of the programs was to educate participants on what an air fryer is, how it works, the health benefits, and all of it's functions - We even compared 3 air fryers ($, $$, $$$).  The Family and Consumer Sciences Agent also discussed price comparisons to determine whether or not an air fryer is worth the investment.

The FCS Agent demonstrated how to make sweet potato fries, air fried Oreos, and Margherita pizzas in the air fryer then gave the participants an opportunity to make some too for a hands-on learning experience.

Overall, there were 8 participants total, (7 female, 1 male) in the first lesson of the workshop. One-hundred percent (100%) of participants said they felt more confident in using their air fryer at home. One-hundred percent (100%) said they would be purchasing one if the didn't already have one.
