Local cattlemen's association programs held this year included: Livestock risk protection and options, High Moisture Hay and Baleage, Mineral Requirements, Cattle Marketing Options, Feeding Distillers Syrup, Managing High Fertilizer Prices, and Bale Grazing to Spread Nutrients.
85% said they attend local cattlemen's events to lean more about the cattle industry. 90% said that attending cattlemens meetings at the extension office have helped improve efficiency in their farming operations, and topics were timely and applicable to their farming operations. 88% learned practices at cattlemen's meetings that have improved the comfort of their cattle. 93% noted that they have made connections at meetings that have offered them helpful advice that helped to correct issues they had on the farm.
Beef advisory Board helped plan a Field Day on Heifer development and was hosted on a local farm.
