Volunteers are Essential to Carroll County 4-H Program

Seventy seven adults and youth attended the 2022 Kentucky Volunteer Forum.  It is amazing how the Carroll County Extension Program grows after this event.  Awards were give to our volunteers.

Elizabeth Mefford received the Adult Community Service Award.   Marie VanDiver received the ICE (Innovative Creative and Enthusiastic) award.  Gary Gosser who was nominated from Henry County but was Carroll County's black powder coach received a Shooting Sports award (seated in wheel chair in above photo)




10 Year Members:   Cameron Darnold, Layne Huesman, Megan Perkinson, Evan Searcy

 


 Brenna Mefford:   Teen Community Service Award 

In addition to award,  Carroll County had six adults who took classes to receive their Master Accreditation which consisted of 6 areas of the 4-H program.  Bobbie Chatham (Health), Holly Frye (Cloverbuds), Aayme Kindoll (Art/Communications, Patty Kost (Camp), Elizabeth Mefford (Natural Resources),  and  Georgia Milley  (Family Consumer Science)

Recertified in Livestock:  Derrick and Crystal Willis

Recertified in Dog:  Suzanne Mason

Recertified in Shooting Sports: John Hoskins, Dave Huesman, Ryan and Maribeth Gosser.  Dave Huesman also taught a recertification shooting sports workshop.

Our District Board rewards our volunteers by paying  for each volunteers registration fee.  The volunteers feel appreciated and are happy that our Board recognizes them for their dedication to the Extension Program.
