Covid 19

In responses to the Covid -19 outbreak during 2010 – 2021, the loss of humanity effected many people in Carroll County.

Families had to deal with the unexpected loss of their loved one, being alone while their loved one was sick, and not being able to say their last good byes.

The Carrol County Extension Service offered a workshop on Dealing with Depression and Loss During the Holidays.  Topics included the Five Stages of Grieving, Tips on Handling Stress, and Taking Care of Yourself.

Several people made comments after the event: “ I didn’t realize that one of the stages was anger.   That is exactly how I felt.” “Thank you so much.  It was really helpful to hear that there were others that felt exactly like me.”

Of the 24 that attended, everyone had suffered some type of loss over the last 3 years.
