An awesome effort began with an idea for a benefit tractor pull hosted by the Ballard County Fair Board and then an FFA and 4-H Alum suggesting Ballard County 4-H and Ballard Memorial FFA ban together to help two teens facing cancer in our community. Emily Dulworth was diagnosed with with Medulloblastoma which is brain cancer in September 2020. Hudson Pace was diagnosed with Leukemia in February 2021. The Kids Helping Kids group came together in April of 2021 and after meeting together came up with the goal of raising $10,000 for the teens with cancer. They began planning for a silent auction and adopting the group name of Kids Helping Kids. That turned into a significant raffle which raised $6,710. And still a Silent Auction that raised $6,374. That is a total of $13,084. This same group was approached to help another young person recently diagnosed with leukemia. $1,500 in donations was raised for him at the tractor pull.
