The influx of fall armyworms in late summer resulted in calls to County Extension Service Offices throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Darrell Simpson, Muhlenberg County Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources and Kelly Jackson, Christian County Extension Agent for Horticulture developed a short video for homeowners regarding calibrating a lawn sprayer. The goal of the video was to teach homeowners a simple sprayer calibration method while helping them treat for fall armyworms or other lawn pests. The video highlighted the necessary equipment needed as well as a step by step process and some basic personal safety tips. The video can be found at https://youtu.be/vb3JZ6AThRg the  University of Kentucky  College of Agriculture Food and Environment youtube channel as well as the “gardening in Kentucky” playlist.   The video was developed in mid - September but has received 151 views to date. The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is responsive to the needs of citizens of the Commonwealth.
