At the 2018 Volunteer Forum I was not only a part of the committee but I also had the pleasure of taking volunteers from Letcher County and getting to tag-team a class with an awesome volunteer.  The class that I thought Community Service Projects and my volunteer April Back-Stevens was great! We worked together and put together a really good power-point and sheets for each person to take back to the county with them. We had a full class of participants. This year Letcher County had four attend the volunteer forum. That is the first time that Letcher County has had volunteers attend the forum. 1108 people registered for the 2018 Kentucky Volunteer Forum a 42% increase over 2016. 110 counties registered 1 or more people for the Forum.  An increase of 10 counties over 2016. Letcher County was one of the 10 that finally had involvement. Three districts (3, 4, and 7) had 100% county participation.  (Districts 3 and 4 had 100% in 2016). 148 educational workshops were offered. This will be the largest and most diverse offering of educational workshops at any volunteer conference or forum in the USA this year probably in the world.  More volunteers were nominated for Hall of Fame Awards than during any previous Forum. More people attended seminars on wheels than ever before, breaking all attendance records. Commercial exhibits broke all previous records.On-site fundraising had more high dollar items than ever before. This was my assignment in Clover Corner was to recruit items. Also silent auctions each day were part of my volunteer forum assignment. Educational workshops featured a larger and more diverse offering than ever before. Four district directors attended the 2018 Kentucky Volunteer Forum. More committee members assisted with move in and move out than ever before! We knocked this out quickly it was great seeing so many agents work together! The Berea room was cleaned out and vacated earlier than any previous year.
