The project is in its third year of development in the Paintsville Lake Nature and Edible Trail (PLANET). approximately 15 volunteers continue to plant and groom the area while agents deliver environmental programs from time to time. This year we were able to provide a program on bees and pollinators. This fall we planted 10 American Chestnut trees in addition to the many other berry and tree-bearing plantings. The Facebook group is now discussing enhancing and extending the trail system around it to connect to the Paintsville Lake walking trail and Adena walking Trail. Sixty-five attended 2022 Trail Day at Planet.
