Pike County Extension Fine Arts and ACT has long had a close partnership with productions and kids classes. During the summer, ACT staged Blood Song: The Story of the Hatfields and the McCoys at Jenny Wiley Amphitheatre for three weekends. 865 people attended the play. The play was also selected as a finalist at AACTFest 2021. Twelve theatres were selected across the nation. ACT became a national award-winning theatre for best stage combat! Cast and crew members held a watch party at Pike County Extension Office.

ACT recently announced its new six show season to run now through June 2022. Currently in production is The Miss Firecracker Contest. All shows this season will take place for two weekends at Breaks Interstate Park and two weekends in Prestonsburg, KY. Elf the Musical is beginning rehearsals for a November 2021 opening.
