Pike County has endured multiple disasters over the last few decades. Fall of 2019, the Pike County Extension Service and the Pike County Emergency Management completed a 2 year state wide project on planning for disasters, with Pike County being the host/Pilot Test group. Floods, wind storms, train wrecks, tucking wrecks, and many others.
