National 4-H Hall of Fame

Metcalfe County 4-H Volunteer was inducted into the National 4-H Volunteer Hall of Fame. She began serving August 15, 1973 as a 4-H volunteer due to her love of teaching, working with youth, and its complement to her career as a public-school teacher. Her club leader role led to involvement at the county, area, state, and national levels. Service Makes us Stronger

Supporting our troops is a way to give back to the ones that are willing to protect us.Six years ago a Metcalfe County 4-Her started the 4-H Project Patriot Community Service project as a way to show appreciation to soldiers serving overseas during the holidays.   He planned, executed, and supervised all aspects of this 4-H Community Service Project that has collected various types of food, toiletries and monetary donations.   He has partnered with the Military Missions

Making Stronger Leaders

For 11 years this young man has gone to West KY 4-H Camp with Metcalfe County. He was a model camper, a model Counselors in Training, Junior Counselors, an outstanding teen and now a fantastic adult. Our parents and youth request for him to be their child’s counselor.  His love for working with youth is second to none. He attends camp because of his passion for working with youth, his love’s 4-H and the camping program.  He has assisted and lead classes at West Kentucky 4-H
