According to Gifted and Enrichment Coordinator, Gretchen Vaught, Second Street School has Title I status with 100% students receiving free lunch. The Rosenwald Center for 4-H Youth Development gives youth the opportunity to explore lessons in Family and Consumer Sciences. In the state of Kentucky many middle schools do not offer courses in Family and Consumer Sciences. Second Street School is one of those schools.
