4-H Summit Leadership Conference

Historically, youth numbers in 4-H begin to decline through out the middle school years. In an effort to engage middle school youth in programming, the Kentucky 4-H program offered a 4-H Leadership Summit targeted for 6th -8th graders at the West Kentucky 4-H Camp. This summit also engaged the state board members as mentors, class leaders and cabin chaperones, so these high school youth would have opportunities to build leadership, team work and communication skills. Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference - a Leadership Experience

The Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference hosted 490 senior 4-H youth from across the Commonwealth on Uk's campus in June. Five Todd County youth traveled to the four day conference to experience leadership, communications, expressive arts and fun! Two youth tried out for the Kentucky 4-H Leadership Board Performing Arts Troupe. One youth performed with the Kentucky 4-H Performing Arts Troupe on stage.
