Building Leaders

Providing leadership opportunities is a large part of the developmental youth portion of the 4-H program. This past year the Henry County youth have benefited from opportunities to explore many offerings that have opened their eyes to possibilities for future success.There are 5 Henry County youth serving on state teen council and leadership boards.  We have a Natural Resource Ambassador, Shooting Sports Ambassador, Fashion Leadership Ambassador, a State Teen Council Representative as well

Teen Summit

4-H Summit Success Story: 4-H Summit is a transformative event for middle school youth, and this year's Summit was a success. With 115 middle school youth, 33 Teen Leaders, and 43 adults in attendance, the event highlighted the power of social activities, hands-on learning, and a supportive environment.Social activities are crucial for youth development.  Teen Conference 2025 Success Story The 2025 Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference was held at the University of Kentucky from June 10th to 13th, continuing its long-standing tradition of empowering youth through leadership, education, and service. This year’s conference welcomed a total of 528 participants, including 365 youth delegates, 35 State Teen Council members, 24 State Board members from SET, NRESci, and SSTAB, 80 4-H Agents, 9 4-H Program Assistants, 7 4-H Interns, and 8 vo
