Two-thirds of Kentuckians are classified as being overweight and 1/3 are classified as obese. With an increase in the obesity rate in Kentucky over the last decade there is a higher risk for many chronic diseases. According to the Kentucky Health Facts, 66% adults are overweight or obese in Jefferson County.
