In March of 2020 people’s everyday lives took a lifestyle hit with coronavirus COVID 19. A life-threatening virus that made its way to the US. People were advised to stay at home to help slow the spread of the COVID-19. University of Kentucky required offices to stop any live programming. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 36.6% of adults over 18 are obese and 31.9% have an overweight classification. In addition, 42.7% of adults reported consuming fruit less than one time daily and 17% of adults reported consuming vegetables less than one time daily. According to the Kentucky Extension Community Assessment for Magoffin County in 2019, thirty-nine percent of the population is considered obese. Magoffin County has 41.3% of the households who are at or below the poverty level. Prior to COVID-19 pandemic that hit in the middle of the program year, in person lessons, public relation events, health fairs, and in person food demonstrations was the preferred method of reaching clients.
