A farmers’ market provides a community with locally grown fruits, vegetables, meats, and other value-added products. A market also provides the consumer direct access to the producer to learn more about the products for sale. In addition, a market provides a gathering place for the community.The goal of the members of the Owensboro Regional Famers’ Market was to build a permanent facility under cover to make it easier for customers to shop out of the elements.
