According to the Nutrition Education Program 2016 Annual Report for Butler County, in 2014 an estimated 2,596 Butler County Residents lived in poverty, of which 875 were children. This is an 11.6% increase in childhood poverty since 2007. Healthy Choices for Every Body is essentially the core and basis of the Nutrition Education Program. The Butler County Nutrition Education Program Assistant taught this curriculum weekly at the Butler County Extension Office to a group of likeminded individuals.
