Wild Cat RoarAccording to State of Childhood Obesity in 2017-2018, 20.8% of children between the ages of 10 and 17 are considered obese. Making COVID Work for Breckinridge

The 2018 State Indicator produced by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention states that only 12.2 % of adults meet the daily fruit intake and only 9.3% meet the recommended amount of vegetables. Records also show an even lower number of adults meeting the recommended daily intake in communities that are considered below the poverty line. Breckinridge County poverty rate stands at 53%. Breckinridge County has a 24% obesity rate and 69% report being overweight.
