According to the 2012 Census of Agriculture, the average age of farmers in Lincoln County is 57.2 years old. As people age their health begins to change. Ag leaders in our community began discussing health challenges they are personally facing. This leader discussion led to an opportunity to partner with the University Of Kentucky College Of Nursing to offer a program about staying healthy and safe on the farm.
