4-H has an opportunity to develop civic engagement skills in Kentucky youth, and this is reflected in the definition of 4-H: “4-H is a community of young people across Kentucky who are learning communication, civic engagement, and leadership skills,” as defined on the University of Kentucky’s Kentucky 4-H Youth Development website.
