Situation:
With almost 97% of all Woodford County land involved in agricultural or residential uses, proper stewardship of natural and human resources is of vital importance. Enhancing soil quality and health, economic profitablity, and natural resource conservation are three key factors to ensuring longevity of farms and landscapes within the community.

Enhancement of economic and ecological sustainability for farmers and homeowners within the community.

Delivering high-quality programming for Woodford County school youth has been the backbone of the Woodford County 4-H program. Woodford County Farm Tour

Now in it's 52nd year, the Woodford County Farm Tour showcases different aspects of agriculture throughout the county to the public.  A combined effort of the Woodford County Extension Service, Woodford County Conservation District, Kentucky Fish & Wildlife, and Woodford County Fiscal Court, the farm tour exposed over 250 participants to current hemp, water quality, and drone research being performed at the C. Monarch waystation grant program

Monarch waystations are gardens that provide habitat for the monarch butterfly.
